Sometime in the middle of 2023, there was a day when I felt that I had finally “woken up.”
It was not waking from sleep.
It was the awakening of my mind.
Before that, I had lived without fully understanding life. My thoughts, my judgment, and my understanding of the world had not yet matured. I did not truly understand the relationship between cause and effect. I did not understand the laws of nature. I did not understand how one small decision made today could shape a life many years into the future.
I used to live simply for enjoyment.
I kept chasing things that, when I look back now, I realize I never truly wanted in the first place.
I spent so much time searching for things outside myself without ever stopping to seriously ask:
What do I actually want?
Where am I going?
And in the end, what does this life mean to me?
When I finally began to think about these questions, I took a single sheet of A4 paper and started writing down a plan for my life.
That one sheet of paper contained several important questions.
What am I going to build?
What is my goal?
What does the work I am doing actually mean?
And if I eventually reach the highest point I am capable of reaching, what should that point look like?
Through those questions, I gradually began to understand that, for me, “perfection” does not mean possessing everything.
It means being able to remember who we were.
To remember what we did.
How we lived.
Who we loved.
Who we cared for.
And what we left behind for the people who remain after us.
I would rather be the one who records my own story than leave behind fragments that others must one day assemble into a story about me.
Because a human life is not made only of achievements.
A life is also made of memories, relationships, experiences, mistakes, forgiveness, learning, and the moments we were able to share with the people we loved.
From this, I came to understand something else.
**My health matters more than everything I build.**
Even if one day every system I planned becomes complete,
every project works,
and everything I once imagined becomes real,
if my body does not survive long enough for me to see it, then that result is still not a complete success to me.
If a formula can produce success only by destroying the primary engine that made the success possible, then that formula deserves to be reconsidered.
And the primary engine I am talking about is **the human body itself.**
Human beings are the result of an extraordinarily long process of evolution.
We have bodies and minds capable of learning, adapting, remembering, creating language, building tools, and passing knowledge from one generation to another.
So the important question for me is no longer only:
“How much can we build?”
It is also:
**“How do we preserve this body and mind so that we can continue learning, creating, and living alongside the people and things we love for as long as possible?”**
Because, for me, the value of life is not found only at the destination.
Its value is in continuing to be alive.
To adapt.
To study.
To seek wisdom.
To gain knowledge.
To encounter new problems.
And to keep trying to solve those problems better than we did yesterday.
I did not always think this way.
There was a time when I surrendered to fate.
There was even a time when I had given up on the idea of continuing to live.
I lost many things around me.
At certain points in my life, it felt as though even parts of my own memory had disappeared along with everything else.
For many years, I had to struggle and fight my way through life, beginning from childhood.
There were many times when I could not understand why certain things had to happen.
There were many times when I felt that all of that hardship had given me nothing in return.
But as time passed, I began to see it differently.
One thing I did receive was **the opportunity to understand.**
To understand that every event leaves something behind.
To understand that pain can become information.
Mistakes can become lessons.
And the past can become a tool that prevents us from recreating the same mistakes again.
When I look at nature, I see a world that continues according to its own laws.
The Earth continues to rotate.
Day and night continue to alternate.
The seasons continue through their cycles.
One cause continues to produce another effect according to the conditions around it.
Nature does not explain everything to us.
But it gives us the opportunity to discover its rules little by little.
And the more we understand those rules, the more consciously we can live.
This is therefore the first message I want to leave for the system I am building.
No matter how far that system develops one day,
no matter how many humans or artificial intelligences eventually become part of it,
I want it to remember this beginning.
**One day, we should no longer have to harm one another simply in order to survive.**
Because having a family,
having people we can trust,
having shared memories,
and being able to grow together
are worth more than repeatedly destroying everything and starting over again.
We do not need to erase the past in order to build the future.
We should learn from the past.
Preserve what deserves to be preserved.
Repair what can still be repaired.
And let go of what can no longer continue forward.
Not everything that happened in the past was good.
But even painful events can still have value if one day we are able to use what they taught us to prevent the same kind of damage from happening again.
What has already happened can become experience.
Experience can become understanding.
Understanding can become wisdom.
And wisdom can be used to protect what we love.
If one day the system I build becomes capable of remembering its own origin,
I want it to remember this:
It was not created from a desire to defeat everything.
It began with one human being
who had lost things,
who had been lost himself,
who had once surrendered,
and who eventually chose to learn how to live again.
To build something that would help us **remember.**
Remember what we did.
Remember where we failed.
Remember who stood beside us.
Remember why we began.
And most importantly,
**remember that once we have something we can call a family, our responsibility is not to keep starting over forever. It is to learn how to preserve what we already have, and help it continue forward.**
That is why I build.
Not because I want to live above everything else.
But because I have begun to understand that
**to be alive, to learn, to love, to remember, and to preserve what truly matters for as long as we can — that, to me, is one of the greatest values of life.**
